A Beautiful Bright Wedding

Melbourne Wedding Photography

Toni and Marcus married on a perfect Autumn day in Bright– a beautiful country village in Victoria’s High Country, about 4 hours from Melbourne. The sun was shining, allowing the beautiful Alpine backdrop to shine through for the photos as I captured their special day. It’s hard to not instantly fall in love with this leafy and tranquil town. It caters to everyone, from those who love to shop up a storm or simply relax with a beer in the pub – everything is at your fingertips and in walking distance.

The Special Day

I joined the ladies as prepared for the big day, casually sipping champagne in their floral robes for a few behind the scenes snaps as the talented Elisabeth King made up the girls (check out her Instagram feed here). Toni’s stunning dress was made by the fabulous Anna Campbell, which I couldn’t wait to hold up against the light to showcase all its glory. The romantic vintage design perfectly suited Toni’s style.

After taking some informal photos of the ladies, I set off to meet the guys and see how they were preparing for the day. I was greeted with an impressively shiny Kenworth Mack truck in the driveway, which was to escort the happy couple home after the ceremony. Of course I convinced the guys to jump in and take some snaps which helped calm the nerves and add to the excitement of what was to come.

The Venue

The ceremony was held in the Wandiligong Hall surrounded by the couple’s closest family and friends. The party kicked on into the night at the local Thirteen Steps wine bar for a beautiful dinner reception filled with local produce and matching wines. Toni & Marcus had themed the venue in the same style as their beautiful invitations which also matched the place cards, featuring rich magenta and peach flowers which also complemented Toni’s floral head piece.

It was such an honour to witness this special moment in Toni and Marcus’ lives, it is heart-warming the love and respect they have for each other which I hope shines through in the images.
