Welcome to the world, baby Freya
I had the pleasure of photographing my lovely friend’s little baby girl last weekend – Freya, 3 weeks new. She took her time coming in to the big wide world, but boy was she worth the wait.
Hosting the session from my home studio, we were able to take advantage of the beautiful morning light. The weather Gods were on our side, it can sometimes get tricky solely being a natural light photographer – especially in Ireland! Generally there isn’t enough light, when it is raining or overcast, but we've had a few lovely summer days with beautiful sun, which can mean that it can TOO bright! Believe it or not ;)
I started off Freya’s first photo shoot by settling her into a deep sleep, getting her used to my voice (funny accent!) and sounds of the room. She gladly slept way on my big comfy beanbag and I was lucky enough that she let me change the setups around to get a mixture of colour and texture in her photos.
Every shoot gets a video reel
However for me, the most important photos in a newborn photography shoot is the parent shots. I love showcasing the love that this family has. Take a look at their video reel here to see for yourself!
