Néamhain [na'van] meaning pearl, or gem
Born on 28th March 2017
Isn't she lovely?
I had the pleasure of photographing another beautiful baby girl this week, little Néamhain who is just over 3 months old (14.5 weeks to be precise!). She was such a little gem, smiling the whole time and never complaining! We started off the session with shots with her Mam and dad, which helped her get used to my voice and the studio - when you're that little there's loads to look at and grab hold of!
Photo shoots for 'older' babies
A session for a 3 month old baby shoots are slightly different to that of newborn babies, mainly due to the fact that they require less sleep at this age, and their attention span is still quite limited! I still use similar props, but just set them up slightly differently. For example, I always use my beanbag for newborn.
Baby Néamhain was the perfect model and this age is so perfect for capturing smiles, movement and interactions with the parents. You can see great eye contact and hand-holding, which is so precious to capture for years to come.
Sessions typically last approximately 45-60 minutes, or until a certain model gets tired and cranky! We let bubs run the show, stopping for feeds and cuddles whenever required. This works well for me, as I can rearrange the setups to provide plenty of variety in client galleries.
All family photo shoots come with a complimentary video reel of the session. Check out Néamhain and her family's here!
