Dia dhuit! (Hello in Irish!)
I am so excited to have finally arrived in beautiful Dublin, Ireland with my James and am very excited to start setting up our life here. The flight over from Australia was on time and easy, I got a lot of sleep in so haven’t really felt jet-lagged at all (thank God, because last time I was napping at 4pm each day!). But it's no rest for the wicked, I am so excited to launch the new branding for my business, including a new name (Photography by Sarah-Joy) and logo designed by the talented Be-Rad Design! A massive thanks goes to James for creating my awesome new website from scratch too - I'm so lucky to have such clever people in my life :).
Even though we are enjoying some down time, who knew there was so much to do moving from one side of the world to the other?! Like finding a car, house and work - eek! That all sounds a bit boring when it’s Summer here - yes, Summer! I’ve been spending some of my time off to scout out photography locations in Dublin, including beautiful green parks for potential family shoots - there are so many to choose from and they are all covered in colourful flowers! I’m looking forward to getting straight back into my photography work and meeting lots of lovely Irish families. So my my favourites include the Iveagh Gardens and of course the icon St Stephen's Green. As soon as we have a house my main priority will be setting up my new home-based photography studio too, which I will share images of as soon as I can! In the meantime as you can tell I’m kicking back in my peaceful country-escape in County Longford surrounded by fresh flowers, dogs and cows. Do I look relaxed? :)
Slán go fóill (goodbye for now),
